KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetheart)

You have your host and you've registered your name, now you'll go on to the next step which is to create a web page which you can put there.

3rd step
create your site
There are many applications called "editors" which will take your text and convert it into HTML which is the language the web needs to make your site visible to your visitors. Personally, I'm not too enthusiastic with these editors. You are restricted to what you can do with your page.

The alternative is to learn HTML coding. This coding is not difficult and it really becomes second nature. You can find the basic HTML coding here.

Set your browser to 600 x 800 even if you like using a larger screen. Many of your visitors will be using this screen size and nothing is more irritating than having to scroll to the side to view a page.

Also, view your finished pages on different browsers, at least Netscape and Internet Explorer; you may be surprised at what you see.

If you want more coding go to Jalfrezi at http://vzone.virgin.net/sizzling.jalfrezi . You may find more than you want at this point, but keep this address as the time will come when you will want more information for your site.

THE site for the webmaster on all coding is The World Wide Web Consortium at http://www.w3.org . Once new Coding is developed and, as soon as available for use, the additions are posted.

Remember, browsers aren't able to accept the changes immediately, but you should keep abreast as your knowledge of coding becomes more extensive.

Once your page looks the way you want it you have to do is ... editing
